Mr. Joe rescued some derelict paints from the garbage, and tried painting

modern primitive wood paintings are acrylic paint on routered laminated pine
built up with pine strips and balsa wood strips. After moving to Peterborough
in 2007 a new landscape has opened up to Bronson. He continues to do paintings
of buildings and landscapes in order to capture their image before they
disappear, including the abandoned outports of Newfoundland and Labrador, and
now the barns and homes in the Peterborough County and surrounding areas.
